How does the shoptimizer work?

The shoptimizer uses NFC to forward to the desired platform. This means that NFC must also be activated on the scanning smartphone.

On the iPhone, NFC is in the tip at the top and on Android devices, it is in the middle of the smartphone.

How to activate NFC can be found in the respective instructions (Android or iOS) below.

Can I customize the confirmation page?

Due to restrictions in the respective operating systems, shoptimizer uses an intermediate page to open the apps on Android, on which the forwarding must be confirmed.

This can also be individually designed for your shoptimizer on request.

How to sign in to Google?

Most customers have saved their password for Google. A single click on the password entry field is enough to automatically fill in the password and log in.

For security reasons, fingerprint or face approval may be required.

What marketing functions does the business model include?

With our business model, users of the shoptimizer can be recognized by an integrated tracking code. The further use of the tracking code for marketing purposes thus creates an audience perfectly tailored to your company, to which advertising can be placed. So customers with a positive buying experience can be easily reached in a playful way. In addition, a similar audience (lookalike audience) can also be gained from this audience (custom audience). A specific target group is thus created, which is not possible with this level of accuracy with the conventional target group formulation in Google or Facebook Ads. You reach interested customers who have already interacted with your company or have similar characteristics to them.

Tracking codes can easily be edited independently at any time in an app. This means that you can also insert your own tracking codes for certain actions, for example. It is 100% GDPR compliant and users and businesses are excited about this marketing revolution.

In addition, with our evaluations and the associated app, managers have the opportunity to compare the branches easily and with one click at any time. This allows optimization measures to be taken and stores and employees to be monitored. Good and not so good branches are identified and comparisons are made with the previous month/week. With specially developed key figures, managers can see at a glance which branches still need support and which are the "best-practice" examples that should be further expanded. You can also see which countries the users come from. This provides further data for the optimization of the offer.

On most cell phones that have Android installed as the operating system, the NFC reader is located in the middle on the back of the smartphone. It is therefore important that the customer also moves his mobile phone in the direction of the Shoptimizer.


With some cell phones, the NFC reader is not automatically activated and must be activated by clicking in the settings. You can find out more about this in our instruction videos above.

iPhone

How do I use the shoptimizer with an Apple iPhone?

On most cell phones that have Android installed as the operating system, the NFC reader is located in the middle on the back of the smartphone. It is therefore important that the customer also moves his mobile phone in the direction of the Shoptimizer.

Apple iPhone NFC Problems - Enable Airplane Mode

NFC has been integrated into every iPhone since the iPhone 7 and has been automatically activated since the iPhone XS. Apple is currently having problems with NFC on some new devices. Therefore sometimes enabling and disabling flight mode is necessary to reset NFC.

In stubborn cases, however, a restart of the device helps.

Open Control Center on iPhone or iPod touch or iPad and tap the Airplane Mode button. You can also turn on Airplane mode by going to Settings and tapping Airplane mode.
